Sorry to hear that DJ. I know a ton of time and effort went into that car. Glad no one got hurt. Let me know if you need the plasma wrench on the next one.

Not bad times in a Miater there Don. I have yet to crack the 2:00 barrier there....but was close with a 2:00.02!!! LOL!

If I had our neon sold right now I'd be all over that Mark VII but I keep telling myself we need to own fewer cars! LOL!!!

The brakes were good (cobra front and rears with slotted rotors and competition pads) and were not brought up in the driver's meeting. The braking system however gave us fits and he went from awesome braking to NO pedal in one push. Shitty deal. The mustang was demolishing the field and the driver wasn't pushing it 100%.

You need to by my mark vii then, it already has an 8.8 with 4 wheel disk, and it’s like a stiffer tbird. It’s also less common than a bird or cougar. Bigger sway bars, and it even already runs. I’d love to see it as a lemons car.

    : yeah i heard 42nd to 5th in 5 laps... then whammo

: yeah, i waved as the slow t-bird soldiered on to an 18th overall finish

    : hahahaha

: judging by their driving during practice no one was suprised

: HAHAHA, really? were they just being jackasses?

: pretty much. in the drivers meeting "yeah the cars fast but the brakes aren't good"

It had happened after a couple hours on the track, but 5 laps in it happened again.

Got hit hard in the right rear, the whole car is wrinkled and twisted. The eng is salvageable, not sure on the rear end or the trans yet.

It was very fast. We only got 5 laps in but went from 42nd place when the green dropped to 5th in those 5 laps. It was one of the fastest cars out there, and given the chance, we would have seen some nice lap times. Ive been looking around for a good roller to drop this stuff in. Id really like a Zephyr or Cougar or some fox that you dont often see.
