  • The ultimate sleeper?

That may be a little of and overstatement...I'm a Nova lover.

Badass car, But at first glance I noticed the cage, heat exchanger and traction bars for the leafs.
To the trained eye, it's hard to pass anything like that as a sleeper.

I saw a base grand prix with hubcaps and a turbo gtp motor run almost as fast as that nova once. I'd rather have the nova though.

I'm kinda partial to a 20 year old Taurus that runs past crotch rockets.

                    I agree.

Or Mike Murillo's White GT "c r acker". Looked like a stock GT, sounded like a bone stock GT sitting at a light, ran 8's and cleaned the 60ft with the rear bumper on occasion.

Anything with say 600hp is going to have some go fast cues even if you're trying really hard to hide it, but no one would expect that car to have DOUBLE that sort of power.

Put it like this, you're in a C6 Z06, cam/heads/spray making runs down Bush, tollway, 121, this guy pulls up next to you. You see the cage and other shit, so what, wouldn't you still expect to walk him? It would be a shocker for a 72 nova with bad paint, dents, and whitewalls to kill you in a 60-160 pull.

I put the shortblock for that car together in my garage. Nothing fancy but that car hauled the mail!

Where was the Nova last weekend? Not a fast street car.

Nova does not equal sleeper. Maybe a Gremlin or Pacer, but not a Nova.
