            • Not a fan of the "dipped in paint" engine look. Masks the cool details of the assembly.

              • That is pretty close to the way the factory did them back then. The bypass hose and battery cable were installed before the engine was painted.

                  • Yep, not knocking the "originality" of the look, just not something I prefer. I like the look of a detailed out engine with the clean look of nice fasteners, separately painted valve covers, nicely finished metal surfaces. Just my opinion, not a damnation of doing it another way. The single color approach, while period correct, just takes on too much of a blob look IMHO.
