thinking thats why they took the top off. Cut it off then they could pull out and toss parts easily out.Originally posted by dumpycapri85 View PostA good crew could do that in 2 hours .
I took the top off an old LTD in 20 minutes with a sawzall and that was alot more thicker metal with a 40 year old white boy with no chop experience..Murph

Don't know.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostWhere in Midlothian? We're out in the sticks and it's a perfect area for a "chop shop".
I think DPD has it? Not sure.Originally posted by projectPONY View PostJust out of curiosity, where is the vehicle now? Better yet, who was the towing company?
When they found it it was tied to a pole. They think the top was cut so that it could be squeezed into an enclosed trailer and moved inconspicuously. Then once they were away from prying eyes, they tossed a chain around a pole, attached it to the axle and drove the trailer out from under it.Originally posted by Sgt Beavis View PostWhy would they cut the roof off?
Yeah, it's a total loss. They are F'ing her on some of the stuff that was inside of it (GPS and camera) but overall it could have been much worse. She should be out of the rental and in her new car this week.Originally posted by badass88gt View Postwhomever stole it had plenty of time to tear it aprt somewhere. that sucks man, hope innsurance took care of you!
