These items are not imported from Mexico. Only closed vegetables and fruits are since it is globally known that Mexico uses black water for irrigation. Also only vegetables and fruits that do not grow in America's climate are imported, like bananas, avocados, zuccini and other vegetables.

Well china can keep their low income labor force. We should focus on our service and tech industries rather than worry about making t shirts, and other consumer crap. We don't help our nation by bringing in minimum wage jobs.

Maybe we should also look at not paying unemployment benefits that are more than people making minimum wage. That's ridiculous that someone with a job makes more than someone without just because they "had" a better paying job and mor material things to pay for monthly.

Anyone old enough to remember when Walmart was making the big push to get into every town in the Country (80's), they played the "made In America" card for most of their products. Once we started shopping there thus putting Mom and Pops Grocery stores out of business, good old Walmart started purchasing Chinese, Mylasia, Viet Nam, etc...

I think most of us remember that. Food companies, nutrition companies and corporations like Walmart care about profit, nothing more. They pay lip service to long term sustainability and community development but the only thin that really matters at the end of the day is making money.

some people have higher overhead than others. not saying it's right or wrong, but I know plenty of people who have taken 6 months or more to find a livable job in this economy with a true unemployment rate over 30%

I've been on unemployment before, and it definitely bridged the gap until I found the right gig, and I'm thankful I didn't have to take a shit job just to keep the lights on because it's hard to land a good gig when you're stocking shelves at Home Depot, and now life is good
