I've had to call you out about lying now 10+ times in the last 8 years. The first time was the very next day. You told the BSR guys that you outran me by 3-4 cars. Lmfao!!

My fault, dont remember what was said to BSR man, but you know how stories change when they get passed from one person to the next. All I know for fact (long time ago) is I didnt let out, and I fucked up my motor trying to go 200 on a small fuel system.

Maybe they thought since I was ahead (you let way out and gave up dragging me) that it was a W, but I clearly know you won. Was pretty sure you said you let out at 170, but 185 is fine too, either way its water under the bridge. You dont have the bike and my car isnt running, and there will never be a way to re-do the race.

I was just going off what you told me, as I was trying to pay attention to the tach the entire race. If I mixed it up, I appoligize. Ill remember this version (3-4 cars at 185) if it ever comes up ever again, k?

Ask Wes, we ran about 7 times one night on loop 12 and he couldn't ever catch me. I was on only 620ish rw when I ran both of you, so yea my car wasn't all that fast back then. I didn't stay in it to prove a point, I was having fun. I did pulls like that all the time, with or without someone racing.

I've said thanks to Sam for him helping out with my timing table 50+ times.

I could be going faster if I paid someone to do everything for me and I'd hope Sam is a better tuner then I am. Unfortunately for me I enjoy wrenching and knowing how/why things work which occasionally is going to have a learning curve associated with it (read: pushing a stock used truck motor too hard and boom).

I'm just not the kind of guy out there having other folks build/race their cars for them, personally I don't see the point in that. I'd rather be the blind squirrel who occasionally gets a nut then watch as someone builds/races my car. Maybe those folks are smarter then I am, I'm open to that possibility.

As far as Sam's response, I asked for it this time by posting that jab at him when he wasn't even in the thread to begin with so it was to be expected.

No, it was SamGTA from this site, 03 stock R1 I think. Ran him flat out, he lifted at 170 when I caught him and I stayed in it. Fried a few piston rings that night but it was fun! No gps but 6200 in fifth before it lost 3 plugs was about 195mph

Yea, the 335s were just for fun, I bought those tires for my Cobra, they weren't meant to stay on the car permanently. I was one of first around to try em, and I wanted to see if they'd hook. They did ok from third gear. My Hoosier slicks were the only thing that would try to hook, but they spun second gear half the time too. Car just wasn't dialed in because I never drove it. Can't get suspension and car to work right when it stays in storage and you race it once a week.

New setup with 325/50/15s on the street with boost by gear/mph and good suspension should fair a lot better at track and street. Hope to row mid 9s @ 150+ on the lowest boost it'll go and pure pump gas. No E85 shit for me's.

I think someone in a thread once said that your rim/tire setup in the back looked like shit because they stuck out a little. I believe that you were running 335's and still having trouble getting the power to the ground. I know that Wes's car was fast just not crazy like John and yours. It was clean none the less.

It ran a low 10 at 138 or soM. I drug that car and Wes with the black 95 Cobra... John and I never got a good run in. We ran on Sweetheart when it was primered, door-door heads up racing. He was surprised, as was I because my car was NOT fast in the eigth. It was more of a after 100 mph car due to gearing/cam/blower boost. It didn't have much down low except for frying tires.

I beat Donnie's old Camaro a few times the night we ran in 06 too, there's still utube of it on net under strokd vs prostreet...
