  • Home made parts cleaners

I know some of you guys are pretty crafty... Anyone made one or tried something like this? I'm thinking about it for carb cleaning... Or anything for that matter. I thought this was a pretty cool idea.

    What do you think?

I want to see a before and after results.

I wanted to make a dry vibratory cleaner like reloaders use just to clean up nuts and bolts.

good luck cleaning a cylinder head thoroughly with that.... Seems like this DIY would work pretty good. I agree though, a before/after would be nice.

I got the 20 gallon HF unit like this that Heads fit in just fine. I think I made add a sander to the side. I run the PSC from Tractor supply in so I wonder if I add the sander to the side if it will work better when soaking parts.

It was in regards to the OP's request for carburetor cleaning.

Pretty interesting attempt... I'd be interested in seeing the results as well. I'm in the parts cleaning industry, and true ultrasonics have a little more science behind them, but they are pretty damn expensive!
