Those covers, I believe, are to vlesn the headlights. At least on the Benz it's thatta way. Every 10-15 startsbpf the car it will mist a sloution on there to help get rid of grime and shit off of the headlights.
If not that, does the car have front parking sensors.
You could have just said you don't know what you're talking about and been more accurate.
Ronald Reagan:"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."
Homer: "Bart...there's 2 things I know about women. Never give them nicknames like "jumbo" or "boxcar" and always keep receipts...it makes you look like a business man."
"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin "A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler
OP, congrats on the E92 M3. They are definitely nice rides. I drove my first current gen M3 about a month ago. It was an '09 E90 M3 with DCT. That engine revs out very nicely and sounds good, turn-in and handling is very nice.
Actually, here is what I posted on another local board comparing it to my CTS:
A buddy picked up a very clean '09 blue DCT M3 sedan last week and we traded drives between the V and M3 yesterday evening. The 4.0L V8 sounds really nice and I like the high redline. It has consistent pull throughout the rpm band, but you definitely feel the torque deficiency between it and the 6.2 SC V8 in the V. The thrust difference is very noticeable.
The DCT transmission is awesome. Lightning fast upshifts, and perfect rev matching downshifts. Chassis/handling also felt very nice and definitely felt lighter and more tossable than the V. Absolute handling limits may be similiar between the cars, but they are very different in how they go about business.
My buddy liked the V and definitely liked the big thrust from the engine. We did a few acceleration runs, including a good 60 punch and the V just slowly walked away from the M3 which was expected since the M3 traps roughly 113mph and the intake equipped V is closer to a 118-119 trap speed car.
Overall, really liked the M3 and I can see why there are so many M3 fans on this board and in the auto community in general.
I want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
but if you ever find yourself in Sacramento, we can make the 2 hour jaunt over to the Golden Gate Bridge and PCH, or the 3 hour drive down to Laguna Seca for some laps.
