There's a great story about a how Tesla was interested in high frequency electrotherapeutics. He tested this on himself, and allowed Mark Twain to use whatever device (I forget the details right off) he had to try it out, also. After some time, Tesla may or may not have advised Twain to come off the machine because of the side effects - namely diarrhea. At some point shortly after, Twain went running from the laboratory with an apparent case of explosive ass.
