It's not beat up, that is a whiteboy rattle can special. That whole quarter peeled like the fender, so he rattle canned it and it's horrible. One other thing that was broken in the transmission area was the clutch fork. Gonna have to go by dallas mustang tomorrow and get one. At least I will be able to drive it without the fear of the TOB blowing up.

Nah man, looks better than the bare metal. That paint is beyond hope. Once I am done with the clutch, the tires, and inspection, I am on to the paint. Just debating on taking it to someone, or trying my hand again.Originally posted by Whiteboy View PostYea that didnt work out so well.Thats why i dont paint cars lol

Never seen white paint in such terrible shape, sometime you have to wonder who would own a cobra and just neglect it to that point

Got the clutch installed today. Everyone is back ordered on the clutch fork, so I went ahead and reused the old fork. The break to the retaining tab wasn't recent, so I figured that it would be OK. Going tomorrow to get the tires mounted and balanced, so I should be on the road by tomorrow night.Originally posted by SEB View PostOnce you get the clutch issue solved. I just put new pads on the front. Thanks for the offer though.Originally posted by Z06killinsbf View PostHey man, I have a set of Hawk front brake pads to fit this thing. Brand new for sale.
Got the clutch in and the new tires mounted this weekend. I went with a sachs clutch from oriellys since I did it on the spur of the moment and I couldn't get a better one over the weekend. It came with an added bonus, the pedal effort is about 50% easier from what was in it, but it's still gripping just fine. I am sure if I had a power adder, it would start slipping, but it works fine for stock. Makes driving in traffic a shit ton easier.
