Great looking car, man!
There is exactly ONE set of louvers that I like on the S197 Mustangs, the SHR flush mounted ones. They're expensive and a bitch to install but they are the only ones that I think pull it off properly.
When the government pays, the government controls.

I was going to buy a set of those because they are clean and look OEM, but they use a 'plastic' insert that isn't very clear like glass. So I passed on them and like someone else said they are PITA to install.
Edit: Those say they are made of Polycarbonate which should be very clear, but the ones I saw on a Mustang at a carshow were distorted, I wonder if these are different than the ones I saw in person.Last edited by Rick Modena; 12-29-2012, 12:02 PM.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

The wife is now driving an F150. I decided it was stupid for us to have 2 trucks... and the Mustang gets better gas mileage right? lol. I need to get back out to the track. I have not been in over a year. The 65 now has a Gforced T5 in it. The better first gear, weight reduction of transmission and my personal weight loss has me curious how much quicker the car will run. (2.95 vs. 2.78 1st gear, 25 lbs lost in the car, 130 lbs lost in the driver should make for some better times.)Originally posted by jetboat View PostNice ride Joey. But what are you gonna pull your 66 with?

Thanks and those do look really nice. The louvers on my car look much better in person in my opinion. Hell, the car looks 10 times better than those shitty dealership pictures. Some tint and wheels will really set it off.Originally posted by 46Tbird View PostGreat looking car, man!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to lower it. I was barely able to drive it up into our garage without scraping the underside. So unless I do some expensive concrete work, the car can't be lowered.

The stockers are 18" with 235 tires. I know I am wanting to go with 20x9.5 wheels with a 275 tire all the way around. I love the staggered look but for driving 20k miles a year I need to be able to rotate. Deciding on wheels is a pain in the arse.
Right now my top choice is the Steeda Spyder in a machined face .

Also like the Shelby CS40 once I found out the rivets can be removed.

Also looking into a new wheel made by TSW that they say has not been put on a Mustang yet.

There is a set of new/unused Steeda's for sale on that S197 forum Danny posted in about my car thread.
selling a set of staggered spyders as the title states. Wheels have NEVER BEEN MOUNTED, and are the polished/black painted spokes. Now there is an issue that is purely aesthetic with the set. wheels were mishandled while shipping, and some scuffs have occurred. I've shown this in the...
Seems like a great deal if you want those!
