64-70 Mustangs would basically look the same when hit with a 5500 pound land yacht. Pintos had sheet metal bumpers like the early Mustangs until 74, not that it would matter hitting something like that.Originally posted by Big Dad View PostEasy to see why people died driving Pinto Beans

I was thinking the same thing. It held up well considering it got hit with the mother of all ugly sticks.Originally posted by chuckacosta View PostI'm surprised at how well the Gremlin held up compared to the other smaller cars."It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

That is kind of a one sided test. They picked an old "Tank" with light weight and hollow fenders, then did an offset test. Obviously that 59 was terrible at crash protection, but why don't they run a 64 Galaxie 500 against a Taurus and see what happens? How about a 76 Cadillac vs an 09 cadillac? 84 Buick Park Avenue vs an 09 buick?Originally posted by Rustang View PostEveryone thinkd the old "tanks" were so safe. Here's the 1959 vs 2009 Chevy...Wow!
