  • Recent portraiture work.....

    I really hate doing portrait work, but I was asked to shoot an infant..

    This is just one of the shots, just edited for color, size and background.



    Note: This pic was not cropped so the parents could upload and choose the size and zoom for printing.

      Babies are so hard to photograph because a pretty baby is hard to come by.

              It's lanugo. It will fall out as he gets older. It's like down on a baby bird. He looks tiny, like he was a bit early, and it's really common on babies born before 40 weeks.

                          I should clarify--pretty newborns are hard to come by. They don't get cute until they're several months old and no longer squishy.

                            I've always thought black and hispanic babies are cuter newborn's because they have nice skin color. It hides a lot of the trauma they experience during the birth process. Both my kids were a little banged up on arrival.
