New WRX Spied. I am disappoint.

ratt, just buy a mazdaspeed6, a lot of the mods with switch over if your 3 is modded.

If they made a new generation one, I would, but the last Mazdaspeed6 that was produced was in 2006, and I am looking to go newer, not older.

Why do you want tbe sti over the wrx? Thay are equally fast and tbe wrx is far simpler and cheaper....especially to insure.

I like the fender flares and stock wheels. Other than that, no reason. The reason I was interested in the new one was the way the concept looked and the fact that the WRX and STi are supposed to be moving even further away from the base Impreza model.

Incorrect. The STi has nearly 50 more hp than the WRX. Not to mention the better suspension and the ability to adjust the differential on the fly (I'm just assuming that they still have that ability, anyway).

They do, but I'm not buying it for a track car, so the STi suspension and the adjustable-on-the-fly diff are not a concern. That 50 extra HP is nice though.

Actually, They have identical 0-60 times. The Subaru dealer hates telling you that!!! the STi weighs nearly 200-300lbs more and with the short gearing of the 6 spd trans, requires and extra shift to 60mph. the WRX is lighter, has wider gearing and has less rotating mass compared to the sti. The WRX is the one to have as it has the exact same body work except for the goofy wing on the 4 door.

As for the 50hp...call cobb. As for the center diff...wait till it goes out.

The only thing better in the suspension is springs and maybe swaybars...again call cobb.

Unless you are rally driving the car on gravel, the WRX is the way to go and even then I don't see the additional cost and complexity being worth it.

We are going to start prepping our '12 WRX 5 door as a one lap car for next year's event. It classifies as a station wagon!!! LOL!!! Doing a bunch of Cobb stuff to it and gonna go have fun!

I see your point(s). Just disappointed for a car I was really hyped about I guess.

Side note, I love Cobb products, and there's a Cobb store in Plano...that's pretty damn close to me
