Alpine slide. I have ridden something close to that in colorado. The ones in colorado aren't on a rail, they are more like a hot wheels track. And yes, it will PISS you off when some fucker goes slow on it. There are two tracks on the ones that I have ridden, a kiddie/scared track and a balls out no fear track. The line backs up on the kiddie track and no one wants to wait, so they get on the fast track and go slow. Damned things aren't cheap either, so it really sucks when someone does that. I just started taking an extra minute of waiting to give them some room.

Doubtful. If you really watch, they were all going similar speeds then the drop off. The front two cars probably aided in her stopping quickly as he dropped down the steep decline. It wasn't as if she were stopped and he saw that. Also, he probably didn't realize that hitting her would cause any damage, at least to the point she'd pass out - because people just don't think.
