Seeing somebody walking down the road with a black rifle over their shoulder doesn't bother me. I assume they're law abiding as most criminals don't often choose to put people on alert of their presence.

Four guys in their early 20's walked down the main drag in Alvin with AR15's slung over their shoulders and nobody paid them a single fuck... As it should be.

Just the police trying to needlessly escalate the situation, nothing to see here.

I'm sorry...you mean if he would have shut up and just let the cop illegally disarm him and violate his rights peacefully? Correct?

Innocent civilians get killed all the time too. Does that mean innocent civilians have the right to illegally disarm cops as well? Or are you arguing that one class of citizen should have more rights than another? In which case this discussion is shifting toward politics 101 and why freedom is better than Marxism. Mmmmmkay.

He wasn't breaking the law!!!!!!! The guy has both the right to free speech and the right to open carry a long rifle!!!!!

You idiots that get scared at the sight of a gun deserve to lose your freedoms first. Then leave the rest of us with common sense and the know how as to how to carry a weapon alone.

    This!

How is this any different than nearly every truck having gun racks in the back window like they did when I was growing up? I'd feel a hell of a lot more safe if there were more people walking around with rifles and shotguns. An armed society is a safe one.

Lest you misunderstand the point of my post, I was stating that the complainant said the "felt uncomfortable" because of the gentleman carrying his weapon as such.

I agree that feelings have nothing to do w/the rights endowed by the Constitution and the law, I was just stating why this whole farce is just that, a farce. It's feelings based...

So you expect most people to not be concerned with a guy walking down the road with an assault rifle? Not gonna happen.
