With that said, I always caveat these with "would I do it?" Probably not, but I sure as shit don't want to be harassed if I do it.

I also grew up in PA with the gun racks, and to this day in the country areas you're always seeing rifles being toted around - similar to what you see in TX. I can understand you'll be quite alert if you see this in the mall or something. However, if it is not against the law - don't whine about it.

Lol next time i see somebody walking down the road by my house with an ar strapped to him I'm not going to be suspicious of that at all. Cops get shot and killed all the time. Don't blame them. If he would have shut up it wouldn't have been a big deal.

I've walked down the road many many times carrying a gun, and I for damned sure wasn't looking for trouble. I was doing exactly as he was, heading for the country, to go walk around in the woods, and maybe shoot something.

Four guys in their early 20's walked down the main drag in Alvin with AR15's slung over their shoulders and nobody paid them a single fuck... As it should be.

It's no different than having an old shotgun in a window rack. None of those Fudds would've batted an eye at that. Also, didn't the Supreme Court rule against charging someone solely with, "resisting arrest," a while back? Wouldn't you have to be arrestable under another crime first?
