Doesn't happen often. I've been to many sprint car races and very seldom is the racing like the video you posted. And I have still not seen a skinny tire car kill a cushion. If you jump the cushion it's just crappy traction. It doesn't really do anything to it. It just wears out and get drier the more you run on it.

Again, if the car is on the correct tire and the track is prepared halfway decently you'll get what you saw in the video.Originally posted by Super Coupe View PostDoesn't happen often. And if you jump the cushion because either your car isn't handling or you can't drive, what happens to the dirt?

I thought all dirt track disagreements went immediately to WWF??Originally posted by racrguy View PostNaah, no fight. It doesn't in the context of the earlier part of the conversation. However, KTM said that I got passed on the cushion, when there wasn't one, and you asked how it gets knocked down. We are progressing through that part of the conversation at the moment. Keep up, Jr.!Originally posted by Super Coupe View PostSo why exactly does it matter if there is a cushion or not?
Typically if you can keep a cushion and the low line somewhat grippy you'll have good racing and two grooves.
