I loved that place, and spent a huge amount of time working in and around it. I seriously considered buying it a few years back, but just couldnt justify the price and amount of rehab that it needed. Plus, I didnt want to live in Duncanville again."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

Same way I felt about my parents place man. My dad built this massive deck in the backyard. It took him months, and I liked to pretend I was helping him but I was probably in the way more than anything. haha It was still standing when I looked at it, but they had taken the roof off that had been covered in ivy. They also took a huge shed down and another deck that was off the office in the sideyard. I think the place ended up having termite problems while my parents were trying to sell it.
The foundation also went to shit from the massive second floor apartment they built for my sister while she was having more health issues and needed to move back home. I'll always love that place, but I am MUCH better off where I am than in some huge 3500 square foot monster.

Yeah, I guess it does. I learned a hell of a lot really quick, being thrusted in to a "get tough or die" situation, but it made me grow up and take responsibility for myself and my own actions early, and that was a very valuable lesson. I cant change it, and Im not sure that I would if I could.Originally posted by ELVIS View PostDamn DJ, that sucks bro.

Oh god not a hispanic family!!!111Originally posted by Frank View PostI dread having to deal with my Mom's house I grew up in when she passes. My parents bought it in 1956. It needs a lot of work and in an area of SE Dallas that I would never live again. I'll have to sell it as-is and the buyer will likely be one of the Hispanic families next door or across the street.

I dont think so. Theres a house close to Sanger out in the middle of a field that I passed by on the way to a pad site. It was a 2 story house with a rock fence that looked like it was built in the early 1900's. Here it is on google maps. The lease gate is always unlocked if anyone wanted to drive out to it.Originally posted by lowthreeohz View PostLOL!
are you thinking about the place on the side of 35 in sanger? looks like a baller ass house that never got finished.
