Not the best pic but you get the idea

i tapped the top right of the water pump and put in a barbed fitting then ran some hose between the two
I have the truck style vapor tube with block offs in the back, but if you have the car style it should be the same.

you can see on the left where I also tapped the water pump for my huge ass temp sender for the factor gauges. This is pretty much the only thing on the car that you can't just walk into autozone and get a replacement for... the water pump I mean. you could but you wouldn't have your temp sender until you can tamp it again and you would have to block off the vapor tube to get your home.

I had to cut the hoses down to make them fit the way i wanted them to. luckily the Orielly guy was cool enough to let me take 3 or so hoses at a time and then either come back and get more or pay for the one i wanted to keep... but I bet I tried 8-10 hose per outlet

give them a call and see if they have one that will fit, they were very helpful when I called. just tell them you want a dual pass for LS1 that is about 24 3/4 x 17 1/4

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on a 28x19x3 double pass. Do you happen to know what you used for an upper and lower radiator hose? Looks like the pump inlets are

Lower: 1 17/32" or 1.53"
Upper: 1 9/32" or 1.28"

The radiator has outlets of

Lower: 1 3/4" or 1.75"
Upper: 1 1/2" or 1.50"

So I will need a upper hose that goes from 1.28" to 1.50" and a lower hose that goes from 1.53" to 1.75"

Any idea on part numbers you used?

You can buy those dual pass radiators from Smileys in Mesquite. They are around the same price and are very well made.

I went ahead and ordered online, price was about $25 cheaper and it'll be delivered vs. having to drive to Mesquite from Fort Worth. I appreciate the heads up though.

What is neat is that I've never seen those before (obviously), but yet what I made out of MDF looked almost identical (although I guess it isn't really a complex design ).

haha would it make you cry if I told you have I have 2 extras you could have for free I only needed one for the GTO but they come in a pack of three.

well no matter how cheap they are mine were cheaper (had left over MDF from another project so this was free).

although that almost makes me cry!

Got a little bored today so I finally tackled getting the gauges I took out to make room for the a/c controls mounted elsewhere. I decided to put them in the shifter delete plate I made a while back. Only problem was that they would be mounted flat on the plate and would be hard to read, so I formed two wedges that the gauges mount into to angle them towards the driver. It was a pretty big PITA all things considered, maybe there is an easier way to do it but I literally took a piece of MDF and just dremeled out two wedge shaped angled rings. Anyway, then I covered it all with the same headliner material and I think it came out pretty good.






And here is one of the coupe all cleaned up after making the trip to Weatherford (down some gravel/rock roads).

Looks like the core on the f-body radiator is 24 3/4 x 17 1/4 x 1", so that radiator you posted will be too tall and too wide.

Is there a downside to running a foxbody 3" aluminum radiator? The upper hose is up on the passenger side too.
