You just gotta convince her it's a good idea. Or divorce her and find one that's cool with you already living in a hangar.

We had a neighbor who sold his house in our subdivision and moved into a hanger on Hicks. I don't know what the hanger cost but he said he put $50k into the building inside.
Set me up, country music! I'm currently looking for a hangar out at a local airport, I'll probably have to shag ass to Granbury to get one though. It'd be awesome to have a casa in a hangar and just wrench on my race car and not have to worry about neighbors.

The cooler ones have house facades with fake trees and patios etc once you open those hanger doors. On the weekends you can drive through and most of them open.

A friend of mine in Houston has a home/shop thing. The wall with the flag is the house, living quarters up stairs, kitchen on lower level and an office across from the breeze way. All connected to a massive shop.

Sorry for the blurry ass picture though

For those kinds of prices, it would seem to be much better to build and buy your own, so I can't quite figure out why these are popular.
"Fools and their money are soon departed." I would venture a guess that those with airplane money and/or collector car money are apt to pay a little more for the right building in the right location. I would think that these types of buildings would be cheaper to build, considering it's an empty shell, aside from the finished out apartment.

Knew a old couple in Midlothian that built a building like that and had a tiny apt made inside. They used it so they could have their house built next to it.

I have always wanted a hanger garage house. We looked at Hicks airfield for one. We actually drive through there once a week and dream.
