St Elmo's fire on the windscreen at high altitude. Just static friction build-up from the charged particles in the air as we fly near a T-storm. Always intense above building T-storms. It actually etches in the glass and it seems to do it in the same exact spots every time. If you put your finger up to the inside of the glass, it will shock the piss out of ya. About the same as a cattle wire.

Speaking of St. Elmo's Fire, the crew thought that for a second before the windshield shattered at 36K ft. We had just changed this window a couple of months ago.

I found some pictures my Dad took in Summer of 1969 of an airshow that I assume was in the D/FW area. Can any of the old timers or pilots identify the location? The Spitfire and Bf-109 were probably used in the Battle of Britain movie.

That p38 was destroyed in the 70s killing the pilot.
