it got a set of valvesprings and a cam, the only new gaskets it got were the stock style replacements. get cleaned it out and put it in the car. turbo's are twin precision 6766's.Originally posted by whitetrash View PostMotor is stock minus valve springs I think. Then a big turbo
he made around 20 highway pulls on it last night on the 25psi level with no problems. of course we know it can, and more then likely will, let go at some point, just funny to watch until then.

I told John a few times I thought it was a good way to tear up his nice turbo's but it's held up so far not being easy on it. John wouldn't even invest in good oil, it's got the cheapest filter and oil you can buy from Walmart. This was truly every expense spared.Originally posted by Sleeper View PostIt will leave a awesome trail of oil when it goes.
Until then rolling burnouts and mayhem.

Ya, since the car was already set up for LS it was just a matter of pulling out the 6 liter and dropping this turd in.Originally posted by STROKD View PostI wish I could do that. too much trouble to swap to LS stuff temporarily and stock windsor shit wont take one dyno pull with twin turbos turned up.

Truck rod 351's have put a bunch of work in. I think one of Brooks' junkyard shortblocks made even more power than this 4.8 on a dyno once.Originally posted by STROKD View PostI wish I could do that. too much trouble to swap to LS stuff temporarily and stock windsor shit wont take one dyno pull with twin turbos turned up.

It's lsx "stock" lolOriginally posted by DOHCTR View PostThe definition of stock sure is fucked up these days.
My 5.3 c5 z06 made 675 tq @ 4500rpm with an ls1 intake and gaped rings. Hell, running a very conservative tune @ 10psi with 520whp I'm getting 33.5mpg +
