Yeah I never understood why folks hate the country so much - even bragging about other countries but continue living here.

It's one thing to bitch about the politics and all the problems. It's another thing to bash the country. I'm not sure if people realize this, but desecrating the flag is a kick in the nuts to most veterans and people with some level of patriotism. The flag means a lot more to those people than just being a piece of fabric.
