I have never felt any electrical shock from any of the strikes but the sound and physical force from the blast is something that has to be experienced to understand.

    Ouch!

Was on the Hot Rod Power Tour back in '01 in Lake Charles in the worst downpour I've seen, loading a buddy's Belvedere on the trailer when a strike hit a light pole next to us. Was kneeling on the trailer and was thrown about 8 feet back. All I remember was seeing my left arm flailing around and tasting copper in my mouth. A cop witnessed it and tried convincing me to go to the hospital. Opted not to but remember pissing orange for days!
    Not fun.

    First-Person Lightning Strike

"The strike ran down Sheppard's arm before jumping to the ground and making the hole you can see.

Sheppard's car and another vehicle were both so damaged they needed to be towed, but aside from a sore arm Sheppard is unhurt."
Working...
