When I played baseball all the pitchers would be really good at dicking around and popping the baseball around from spending so much time sitting in the bullpen. It's kind of hard to describe but you'd understand if you saw it.

When we played at parks with dugouts with steps we would call which stair we were going for and bounce the ball off the ground and try to land it up there, anything to pass the time.
