I can say Ive been looking around for something convertible-ish to use for nice day cruising with the kiddos, so Ive eyed CL for jeeps, mustangs, etc. The YJ seems to bring slightly less than the TJ, but are holding value well for their age. I couldnt really find a running, complete, derivable option that wasnt a beat up trail rig for under 4k. There were several pretty nice ones that were bringing similar dollar to what a reasonable, stock-ish TJ would, asking price wise.Originally posted by mardyn View PostI too have been craving some Jeep action lately... what's one like that worth these days?
more details please.

This one fell in my lap, guy was moving, needed to sell it pretty quick, etc. I lowballed and he bit. Well, he left, and then came back.
I dont really know yet. It's growing on me.Originally posted by snacksnack View PostCj front clip if a swap is to be done. Congrats, is it a keeper?
It's really not for me either, but I couldnt really pass it up..Originally posted by Ratt View PostAfter having tooled around on the trails to get to a good camping spot with some buddies in Colorado, it really makes me want a Jeep. They're not very practical for my current situation, though
It's in need of a few things, it leaks oil from about every place it can on the engine, he swapped in a 5spd out of a 98, and it still needs a front drive shaft, a/c "needs charged", the header has seen better days / been repaired but leaks, and a few other small things that need to be cleaned up.
It's got a 4.2 with a 4.0 head, fuel injected. Runs and drives pretty well."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

Nice. While the ride and AC may be better on a TJ, the YJ's are so much easier and cheaper to mod. 8.8 is a bolt in, 350 is almost a drop in, parts are next to nothing, and they always go down the road straight. Looks good I wouldn't mess with it to much.Whos your Daddy?

Too bad you aren't good friends with a guy that wears a permanent sweater and thrashed the shit out of one as a kid. Oh wait, you do know Paul! Rear mains are a bitch and the AC will fail every year it them. I have a love hate for 80's/90's jeeps.Last edited by Scott Mc; 08-03-2015, 07:40 PM.
