Regardless they are quite collectible and an interesting piece of Americana. My dad said when he was growing up all the well off kids had one and his parents couldn't afford one so he tried to make his own. He bought a cheap frame and put a banana seat on it from a junk yard and all kinds of other stuff. He is now living his childhood dream by buying them up and restoring them.

He even has a tandem that I would pay to see CJ and Threefingerpete roll around on, haha.
