There is a push to concetrate people from rural areas into smaller, highly populated areas like what you see in the photo. Look at how each one of those pods is like a miniature town. I sure as hell don't want to live like that.

They're 3-4 story buildings, with a central courtyard, and some of them are hundreds of years old. It's just a default building pattern for Europe, since they can't build out as much as we can in the US. Market forces do more to push people into urban areas than any other factor in the US. There isn't a conspiracy. You're a moron.
