All you do is grab them by the tail and lift them up. I usually move my left hand around to get their attention and use my right to grab the tail.

I have a friend whose fostered them, she had an adult named George. He was really take and cool to be around the 1 time I met him. You'd want to get them as a baby to domesticate, can't imagine an adult working out.
