Alberquerqe PD has been in the news a lot for the number of shootings ther officers are involved in vs other cities. I believe there was supposed to be a state or federal investigation about it at one point because the numbers were so high. Article says dude survived and was awarded a large lawsuit so good on that. Apparently mr. trigger happy missed the mission brief and they let him participate anyways. Pretty fucked up and I bet that guy has medical issues for life. 8 .45acp bullets will fuck you up.I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

I read the article as Brachle wasn't really a main person in the operation and that he decided on his own to insert himself into the situation after he heard radio chatterOriginally posted by helosailor View PostWho's the genius that decided to let Brachle participate after he missed the brief? Yeah, fuck that guy in particular.

The moment an Albuquerque lieutenant realized he mistook an undercover cop for a suspect in a drug bust and shot him nine times, he shrieked, “I didn’t know it was you … I thought…
Amazing he's even alive, he's gunna have issues for life though.Jacob Grant, 38, who wasn’t wearing body armor at the time of the January 2015 nearly fatal mix-up—he lost 80% of the blood in his body and suffered injuries to all of his major organs.

I am glad the taxpayers got to pay for it, obviously they are the ones to blame.Originally posted by bonnie&clyde View PostDude got 6.5 mil from the city and all medical bills paid for lifeOriginally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

My statement still stands. Whoever was in charge, that allowed an unbriefed officer to participate is culpable.Originally posted by black50 View PostI read the article as Brachle wasn't really a main person in the operation and that he decided on his own to insert himself into the situation after he heard radio chatter"It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."
