If he was 100% sure he wasn't going to escape, I can't say I really blame him. I almost drowned once, trying to swim across a pretty swift river. That is a horrible feeling and I couldn't imagine actually taking in that water and succumbing to the inevitable.

Luckily I was pulled out after going under, for what I believed was the last time.

That's the fucking truth! Few weeks back we got a car in that was flooded damn near to the roof and the husband (wife was driving) told me what happened. He said the car was fairly full of water and the wife called to ask what should she do,he said get the fuck out of the car first of all...lol i couldn't help but laugh. How you trap yourself INSIDE a car is beyond me.
