Driver of the Z is acting like he was an innocent victim stating that he tried to accelerate and move to the right. Pay attention to your driving surroundings and check your mirrors. People who like to camp out in the left lane and fuck up traffic when there isn't anyone in front of them need to learn a lesson.

To me, it didn't look like he was trying to get out of the way because he wasn't making any progress moving past the other car until that pickup started moving him out of the way.

Yep, if it happened like the guy in the Z said, then the video would have showed him trying to move ahead of the car on the right to get over. The video shows the truck tailgating too long for that to be the case. The Z32 300ZX isn't fast in stock form by today's, but it should have been able to accelerate out of the way unless there was something wrong with it. 222 HP NA V6 or 300 HP twin turbo V6.

Like I said, both were in the wrong, but the driver of the pickup truck takes the cake for endangering everyone's lives in that situation by doing what he did. No excuse for that.

On the other side, I constantly scan my rear view mirror, If you are coming up fast, no matter how much faster than me, Ill gladly let you pass. My ego doesn't need to prove anything to anybody. Yeah - what the driver in the truck did was technically wrong - and yes I've wanted to do what he did several times.

I'll speed up a tad just to be able to let someone by (or slow up a bit to get over if it makes more sense). We often think of the basics and are selfish. How does someone know the person trying to haul ass down the road is not trying to get to a hospital (Does not make sense to wait for ambulance in some situations)? Maybe just having a bad damned day - either way it's not up to us to police the passing lane and there was PLENTY of space to get out of his way.

Manners and common sense goes a long way.

I used to think left lane campers were selfish assholes that are trying to "police" the road, but now after many years of driving, I think 90% of left lane campers simply do not know they are holding up traffic, or that someone is behind them. I've driven behind some people for miles and not once did they check their mirrors. People get in their cars and zone out.

I check my mirrors every 30 seconds to 1 minute simply out of habit from when I daily rode a motorcycle and thought everyone was trying to kill me.

yeah maybe, when I pass a left lane camper i try to come back into the fast lane and cut it close to their front bumper, that seems to get their attention and sometimes they move the fuck over.
