The first one of those I saw run, it was super quiet and looked silky smooth. Then I had to corner marshal it and could not believe how light it was. Bought one that night. My gold pan car had a meeting with the drill press and file....left just enough metal on the sides to use Velcro to hold the body on. We filed the spur gears down to reduce drag....even ran them without the cover trying to keep weight down. Even just soldered the battery connections each time instead of running plugs. I do NOT miss picking up a battery that was so freaking hot it was smoldering though! Lol. Basically you geared them to run 4 minutes and 1 lap...if the battery did not melt the heat shrink and the bars holding the cells together....you were good!!
