exactly, especially with the technology in motion based charging, they should charge and power on when in motion, then go into standby when at rest.

The battery thing doesn't seem like a big deal to me, considering they should last about two weeks.

That said, the whole idea seems dumb as shit. I don't need a shoe with a motor, battery, lights, etc. I don't see that it really solves a problem or makes life any easier. How hard is it to tie a shoe? Make mine lighter, waterproof, and more durable. It's a shoe, after all. Putting a motor in it seems like it may compromise in those areas.

People will wait in line to pay way too much for these, no doubt.
