I'm going to try and start doing some videos related to my model car builds. How to's and such. I'm sure I'll be looking for pointers at some point! Though, most of my stuff, if not all, will be in doors at the work bench.

Finally going to get around to a Corsa Extreme review video. Funny part is I never got around to shooting pre install sound so I just bought a stock GT for the video. Because this is DFWM and we are all rich enough to do that.

Thanks. I started a Facebook page for my builds. Kind of a place to show them off, but also as a marketing tool. I've had a few people interested in commissioned builds, and will be starting one for a board member soon. There are how-to's out there, but very few, if any that actually show how things are done. I searched high and low for tips on working with tiny PE pieces. I finally came across something that has made it EXTREMELY easy to work with them. Anyway, I digress, I'll be sure to share a link when I get around to putting up the first video!

I am by no means good at this stuff, but the more I do the more I know when it's time to just delete everything and start over. The other night I was playing around with the two mustangs and the ranger using my new mics. Turns out I forgot to tell my buddy that the mic on the DSLR (the main camera for the video) has a separate power switch. So we lost all the sound from that one. And one of my gopro's had a sd card glitch out. So after looking at all the video I just right clicked and deleted all. I could have made something out of it, but it wouldn't have been good.

Haha.. I'm doing my best to not delete any footage, just because who knows what I might use it for in the future. Of course storage will eventually become an issue as I only have ~2-3 TB of storage right now. But, it's getting cheape every day, and by the time I need it, it will probable be so cheap that I don;t care.

One good thing is that any video (or pics) I take with my phone is uploaded to Google Photos full size and I have no storage limits (Part of the Pixel phone deal). So to edit stuff I download it down to my PC, but I won't keep the raw files there once done editing.

Yeah, I've been following the story on the new requirements (1,000 subscribers and 4,000 viewed hours). I think it's really crappy but hopefully they'll get their shit together and loosen those back up eventually.

On a side note, I've been spending a lot of time playing with Lightworks and am really enjoying it! When I actually finish one I'll post it up for critique.

My challenge right now is that I have a lot of footage to work with, but it's a lot of stuff I recorded without a specific plan in mind, so putting it together into something that would interest anyone is a challenge. That said, as I get better with the editing, it's giving me more ideas of what I actually need to capture to put together a 'story'.

I use shotcut as well. Takes some getting used to, but it's pretty damned solid.

Meh.. My computer has trouble keeping up with it so I dumped it. If / when I get a better computer for this I may come back and try it. I downloaded Lightworks and it seems to run pretty smoothly for editing so far.. Haven't actually exported anything with it yet.
