Has anyone done any of the rock crawling they have out there at Mikes?

I need to get a 4wd short course first since I have already signed up for the "Short Course Showdown". Probably going to get an AE SC10 4X4. Also plan to run 2wd buggy but probably go with the Losi 22 there.

You may be waiting a while on the ae. Mikes only got 1 in and there's a waiting list on them not sure if it's the same at the hobbyshops.

Do you notice that big of difference in how the 2wd/4wd cars/trucks run?

Yeah the 4wd trucks are more forgiving in the traction department. It's a lot easier to pull them out of a slide. They react way more in the air than a 2wd. To much brake in the air and you be doing nose dives.

Those rtr go carts do look like fun.

How did you all end up finishing last night? I watched up until the mains. Plan to stop by next Thursday evening to watch. Then in a few weeks when we get moved up there (and I buy a 1/10th scale), I will join you for some racing.

Lol sorry about that man. My a arm was broken and didn't know it and it was making it pull to the right. It finally pulled the cvd out and i was out for the night. I won 2wd though for the first time which was pretty fun.

thats awesome man! congrats!!! i was scared when they cancelled the rookie class and i had to race open 4wd SCT. but i actually did better, IE not dead last in qualifying. im not sure what i pulled off in the B Main. i was tired and ready to go.

i am gonna buy one of those KT8 carts for that class on the carpet and see if i like it. they are only like $150 rtr.

I watched some of the races last night and everything looks like a blast. Mikes looks like a really nice place as well.

I will be watching online. Next week, I hope to stop in and visit while we are visiting the area. May bring my new 1/8th electric buggy and make some laps on the outdoor track. Don't worry Elvis, in a few weeks I will be there to take last place away from you! lol

i was not. i was there for a while yesterday and will be there tonight racing rookie.

What does it cost to get into this? I think it'd be cool to get one that looks like a trophy truck. I've also seen one that was a jeep that looked like a rock crawler, that looked pretty cool too.

You shouldn't run in the rookie class. Those guys don't know how to race and you won't get any better.

I know you have been practicing for a while, you should race with the regular 4x4 guys. If you come in dead last who cares, you will have better times I guarantee it.

I literally have a hobby shop just a couple hundred yards from me off Preston. Do the hobby shops typically have units you can test out?
