He's keeping the wheels and actually going a little lower with it, but changing to a more nostalgic paint scheme...no more red as I understand, and he may be changing the color of the wheels to have more of a magnesium look too.

Biggest thing tho, he had an old Ford Hemi mostly built for it, but decided at the last minute to offload it all and go with more mordern EFI power in it instead....probably with a big power-adder (single turbo).

108 pages for you right here.

The Mercury Comets were the hot car at the drags in 64. Anyone have good pictures from back in the day? A/FX, stockers, whatever.

Comet's are the only old Fords I like.
If he passes on my offer, I will forward the info. It might be sold for all I know by now.

I plan on just making it a nice cruiser, mostly original except for new paint (same color though), and maybe an AOD to replace the 2 speed auto. It needs a new gas tank, lines (maybe), and the typical tune up stuff. New brake system is already in place. I need to find a 2 barrel carb too if anyone has a line on one. The interior just needs new carpet, rear seatback, headliner.
If you pay more than $20 for one of those 2 brl Autolite 2100, you're paying too much. Super plentiful, super reliable.

The 64 Comet drag cars like in your pictures are my favorites! I've always liked them, maybe even better than the two classics I own now.

The 202 post is a deceptively light little car, with the 6cyl models weighing in at 2600lbs factory.
