  • Broke a plateau: weightloss

So for the first time since 1998 (when I was 15)I stepped on the scale and was under 200 lbs. I got up to 255 lbs at one point (6ft tall) and thought at 220 lbs I would be happy.

I started working out many times but never stuck with anything, started training jiu jitsu 2 years ago and it makes me work hard 3-5 times a week. I never changed my diet until I realized I bust my ass and only lost 15 lbs in a year. So this year I stepped it up. I was 230 when I got married in march and 226 on July 4th. Been losing about 3-4 lbs a month and now 199.

Here is a pic of me this mornkng and then one from when i was 245 (wear the rashguard because i am a hairy dude and dont want to scare the women and children) I can tell a small change.

Too bad Steve's not around to brag that he's still #1 BJJ and that you are just losing weight to stay out of his SHW* weight class.

Lol. According to him weight doesn't matter. I have been at all the local tourneys lately and haven't seen him around though.

It's been a long road with some bumps and I still have a ways to go.

                  Great job!

I've found that just not overeating will help tremendously.

That and cutting back on "crap" foods (high sugar, worthless carbed food).

Eat more fresh fruits and veggies and you will see a huge difference.

Being healthy is no big secret. Eat right and get some exercise and your body will respond.

I was in a class yesterday with a group of various city employees, and this 5'1 260 lb woman was in my class. Her backside was about a yard wide, and had that cottage cheese cellulite crap. During a break she went and got a honey bun and diet Coke from the vending machines.

you're going to have to start dancing around in the shower to get wet.
