  • forearm tendonitis pain...

is there anything I can do to speed up the recovery? The googles say that it can last anywhere from 4-6 weeks! It's been about 2-3 so far and don't really feel the pain easing up at all. It hurts most first thing in the morning and at night. I've iced it a couple of days and didn't really get any relief so I stopped.

To reiterate what Matt stated a while back....getting old sucks.

I've had mine for over 6 months now, so apparently eating right and/or using straps, and stretching doesn't help much.

i went and got a lidocane shot in my elbow and that helped. Will be going back for cortisone at a later date.

I haven't done a straight bar curl in forever...those never felt good for me. I actually have been out of the gym for about 6 months...this issue just appeared out of the blue.

the only way I was able to cure mine was continuous compression. it's a tear in the lining around the muscle/tendon, compression helps hold the edges of the tear together so it can heal. anytime you remove the compression the tear splits, don't remove the compression at night. don't get it too tight anytime.

have you tried joint pills. i had bad pains in my forearm any time i would grip anything. i tried joint pill that also was for inflamation. after about three week of taking them gripping things were alot less pain full. my issue was due to gripping a rod all day.

I battle with it, it sucks. I just try not to get a flare up, i know what certain exercises cause a flare up, so i avoid them, or have fixed my form. I get them from improper technique while squatting and doing certain curls. I feel your pain, it takes a while to heal.

Have it currently on my right arm, such a PITA! It started a few weeks ago from working on my car, I think while trying to torque down alot of suspension stuff underneath it was the culprit. Going to start wearing a compression sleeve on it soon.
