Yep. $39.99 is the best price you're likely to see. Even Microsoft themselves are selling it for $43.99 right now (plus shipping and taxes), or $48.99 plus taxes if you just purchase the code online and download it (kinda seems backwards).

Looks like the price is fixed now to the same as getting the card in the mail.

With the Walmart.com deal, you just pay the taxes and have it shipped to the Wal-Mart closest to your house, work, or favorite lunch spot. Stop and pick it up when it's convenient and you're not really paying for shipping or any gas to go out of your way. *Now that the Amazon price is fixed, it depends on if you want to wait a week to save ~$5. Meaning, you could buy the online code and use it immediately for only $5 more.

I don't think so, those are only for downloadable content or arcade games and add ons. You can buy a XBOX live card at retail stores but not for as good a price as this.

Quit thinking about it. Just get the online code like I did and get a day's worth of work under your belt before you start playing with these guys. I still suck, but I have a little bit of experience.

Geez, I haven't played a FPS since Unreal Tournament 2003, but I have been thinking about getting away from mmorpgs for a bit. I wonder if the name "cannon fodder" is taken yet? Maybe "bullet trap"? "Easykill"?

Pretty much any name you can think of will probably be taken, however you can add a few #'s before it or in it or something and usually get what you want. Or come up with something crazy like moosenipplefur.
