My two week old HTC EVO randomly turns on car mode while in my pocket and locked and invariably calls people, googles things etc. Also happens a lot while using the browser. I've searched the web for answers to this and can find nothing. The Sprint store has already looked at it and done a hard reset. What gives?

Less than two weeks old, didn't even have a single ap on it.

That sucks man. At least you didn't have a bunch of crap to reconfigure.

While you still have your old one, dl SMS Backup+ to back up your text msgs and be sure to sync your phone w/ google so it'll automatically put your contacts back when you get the new one and sync it.

Thought I would update this...

I shattered the screen a few days after making this thread. After replacing the screen myself, the car mode crap stopped happening. I guess it was the visualizer.

Why would they send you another phone (refurb) after two weeks of purchase? They should've just given you another new phone if it was only two weeks. Either way, your phone is fixed now, lol.

Funny you asked. I took the phone into a sprint corporate store on a Wednesday, and they said my new replacement phone would be in that friday. I shattered my phones screen an hour before getting off work. Needless to say, they wouldn't take the phone back with a shattered screen.
