Android 2.3 available for USA yet?

Oh sorry about that I must have missed that. Yeah I'll certainly check it out. Seems kind of odd though, that certain phones are only update-able to certain firmware. I guess their hardware is not good enough to run it or something. It would be cool if I could continue to simply update my Galaxy S to the latest version of Android until the phone itself was wore out and needed to be replaced.

i have a samsung infuse and love that the phone is so user friendly... rooted and running infused firmware vs the shit it came with so much better

Yeah I was just hoping that google had come up with some way that android could be kind of like windows. In the way that there are a billion different hardware configurations that have existed over the years, that windows will run just fine on.
