so when i was in the garage parting out a car this past wed, a guy from uverse came up to me trying to sell something. i dont/ havent had cable in quite a while. he waited while i called charter so i could compare side by side. needless to say, he made it real affordable and went ahead and pulled the trigger. the problem i am seeing is he claimed because charter is shared, my 16 meg download wont be even close to that and the fiber optic 6 megs i signed up for would be faster since its dedicated. i dont get installed until wed. so i think i might cancel.

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

Yeah, and 1/3 the cost of any cable provider in any area. Their whole experiment was to see if they could get providers in the test market with really shitty bandwidth to lower their prices and step up their game. Didn't work, so now they're looking at expanding. Please come to Dallas, please come to Dallas, please come to Dallas...

I didn't follow the deployment as much as I should have so I never read if it was a success or failure. But damn it would be amazing if Dallas had something like that.
