this makes logical sense. I don't remember her source, but it was credible. like you said people lie.

It might be true though considering android phones cost less than iPhones. I don't think that it's compensating for not having awesome computers. It's just cheaper, and that's that. Computers are cheap now. You can get a netbook for cheaper than an iPhone and it will do everything that you need for school as far as getting online and taking notes.

Which brings me to an irrelevant point. Statisticians...why do they even exist? They're about as useful as all of the people predicting the end of the world.

There is more to statistics than pulling numbers out of a table to use in a blog.

Really? Cause my Android was free with contract renewal. When is the last time the iPhones were free with contract renewal?

Watch out, alot of people reporting their phones getting wiped or bricked with the update. When I updated my wifes old 3GS to IOS4 it got wiped. I never heard the end of that one!
Exactly why I typically wait a couple days/weeks to update. If IPhone history has taught me anything, it's that one update leads to a quick fix.

The 3GS is free with a new contract, the 4G is $99, and the 4GS is $199

A good friend of mine spent 3.5 hrs getting his 3GS back up and running last night due to iBlow S5. He lost everything.

I'll never understand why people don't backup their information prior to major updates.

Because it says its backs it up, updates then when it tries to restore the info it errors out and come to find out, Itunes only backed up part of the info. In some cases only one contact.

Awesome so you can get a 3 year old phone for free? Sounds like a hell of a deal.

Also isnt it just the 16 gig for $199? I think the 64 gig is $399 and has a retail of $900.

I meant separately from the one that is "done" with the update.

I doubt you got a top of the line Android phone for free, either.

The Galaxy S II is comparable, except that extra storage isn't nearly as expensive.
