        wow, i was under the impression that verizon was significantly faster than att and that 4g was blazing fast...most of the 4g speeds seem to be just a little faster than 3g speeds, and verizon apparently isn't all it's cracked up to be.

            perform a hard reset, insert sim, sync, purchase $20 unlimited plan, wait till your acct reflects the change online, go to corp store with normal device and have them grandfather to other phone. The cost will increase to $30 though.

              Just did this test with on my EVO 4G and it says the closest server is in Temple. why is it not Dallas or FTW?

                It bases it off gps, if it doesn't get a good lock it'll pick the wrong server. You can manually select the server to use by pressing tools at the bottom.
