I know about 20 people with various version of 3GS or 4. I'd say its been a crapshoot 50/50 of who has had luck and who has basically lost their Iphone. My stance is if it aint broke don't fix it. I'm still on 4.0.2..jailbroken and unlocked...and no problems.

what does losing their phone have to do with if it aint broke don't fix it?Originally posted by ram57ta View PostI know about 20 people with various version of 3GS or 4. Your reading comprehension is kinda lagging apparently.....by "lost" or "losing" I implied that the upgrade has crashed their phone..and so far they haven't gotten them back working yet. My phone works, has worked, and will continue to work just fine on 4.0.2...thus my point...if its not broke...why mess with it.Originally posted by roliath View Postwhat does losing their phone have to do with if it aint broke don't fix it?

 Just FYI, Still no untether

 >The jailbreak doesn’t currently work on the iPad 2 nor the brand new iPhone 4S.
 >This is a tethered jailbreak, so whenever you need/feel compelled to reboot your iDevice, you will have to connect it to a PC or Mac running Redsn0w in order to jump-start it.
 >Finally, please consider that if and when the untethered jailbreak appears, you will have to start a fresh – you will not be able to simply ‘upgrade’ your jailbreak as it were.

I have the 4 with the new update and for a while it was good, then went ape shit and froze needing a hard reset every chance it could get. I know while trying to send email one day it froze at least 9 times in a row. I synced it again and didn't have problems. I just recently started having problems with it again when the phone is locked and you slide to unlock it freezes there before your password comes up. I have the 16GB on Verizon network. I have the new 4S on order...

Sorry, I'm not going to a new IOS until it's well vetted on the intended hardware, much less back patching to older hardware. Apple testing sux. The last two attempts of newer IOSs, have been like the descriptions of Win 95. iTunes updates are just as bad train wrecks, and I have just about every Iproduct there is, and multiples of many.

One more time, Apple testing sux!
