Can anyone recommend a tablet

for a 5 year old? The kiddo loves playing with mine, so I figured I would get her one for X-mass. Obviously I don't want to get her something too expensive, so I'm looking for something that's $100 or less.

I think Fry's have an Android tablet for $98. It's not anything fancy but for a 5 year old, it's good enough.

you can get a nook color cheap nowdays and the roots work great. I have a rooted NC that I have all the apps on for my daughter and it works out great. I've seen them refurb for 150 but you could probably get one off CL or somewhere for 100 range and maybe even rooted already

HP will have some refurbed Touch Pads on sale for $99 this Saturday through their Ebay site. I'd pick one of those up and through Android 2.3 on it with the Cyanogen Mod.

Get a good cover/protector for it if it's for a 5 yo. All I've seen are fairly fragile.

x2. I picked up a refurb for $119 a couple weeks ago and put CM7 on it. It's a pretty well built, solid feeling device.
