I have two monitors I would like to hook up to my home computer. I don't really know anything about computers so I am wondering is this something as simple as plugging them in and changing a setting or does it require some special software?

Ive never seen a USB box to transmit video signal, thats alot of data over a USB connection.
We have dual monitors at work but it required modern video cards with multiple outputs on the back of the machine.
This might help out..

May also want to look into something like ultramon as well. Certainly not required, but I like the task bar on both screens. On occasion - especially with older apps - some are buggy with dual screens. You can setup profiles to automatically turn off the 2nd monitor...etc. Just a nice little app.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Back at my old startup company we developed wireless usb, and were able to transmit HD video at 60fps over 60ft. Technology died when my company did though.Originally posted by Lason View PostIve never seen a USB box to transmit video signal, thats alot of data over a USB connection.

Business interferes with a lot of great innovations. It should, but a lot of good things have died it seems. Especially the last 20 years.Originally posted by BajaBob View PostBack at my old startup company we developed wireless usb, and were able to transmit HD video at 60fps over 60ft. Sounds like WiHD, I had it on a Alienware laptop I had recently and never could mine working right. It was one of many issues with that laptop though. I heard WiHD works pretty good with the only pitfall being that there has to be direct line of sight between the reciever and transmitter.Originally posted by BajaBob View PostBack at my old startup company we developed wireless usb, and were able to transmit HD video at 60fps over 60ft. I agree but for $69, you cant beat that. You can get a 6570 for around $75 but then he will have to mess with removing/re-installing drivers and installing the card itself. If the USB option will work then I would just go that route.Originally posted by momo View Posti would just buy a new video card with dual dvi out.
