Ok I have about had it with this damn game, the lag is so bad I can't even get kills. Single player is the same way, I have tried playing other games and what do you know...THEY WORK JUST FINE! What is the damn deal?

I don't see how I have a 2.6 quad core clocked at 2.8, 4 gigs of ram, ATI 3870 X2 video card, and a monitor that runs 1920 X 1200. I can play any other game with settings at full and not so much as even a hick up.

maybe you just suck at FPS games and MW3 in particular.

Download Fraps and run the framerate counter in game and see how many frames your getting.

your video card is the weak point. its pretty old.

Yeah I know it's a couple years old, but the spec on it are still decent. And like I said I can run all my other games at full settings! This lag problem comes and goes, and I know it's not my internet connection because it does it in single player as well.

If it isnt your internet connection then what is left? The PC components. Those parts are pretty dated. Run Fraps like I said and keep and eye on the framerate counter. If it dips into the 20's or lower then you have hardware issues. 35fps and higher is good.

It is a pretty sweet game, I have no issues with it and my machine is just a tad better than yours.

It is spiking from 50-60 all the way down to 1 or 2 fps, I uninstalled it and now I am redownloading it, it's gonna take about 6 hours it says. I played MLB2k11 and it stayed at 60 fps the entire time with settings at full. I tried to play GTA4 and it wouldn't load at all, I wonder if it has something to do with Steam?

Have you gotten the latest Catalyst drivers? Maybe there is a fix in some of the latest. They might even have a beta driver you could try.

Yes I just downloaded the new drivers a couple of days ago, I also loaded CSS and it ran anywhere from 60-200+ fps.

Sounds like a driver issue honestly.

Everything is fixed now, I uninstalled the game and re downloaded it and now it's perfect...doesn't skip a beat!
